About me

Hi, I’m Maxine and I’ve lived in Pangbourne for most of my life. I’ve always had pets (dogs and cats mostly) and I love looking after them, alongside my children who have now flown the nest.

I ‘sitted’ my first cat in 2011 when I was part of UK Pet Sitters. However, since then I’ve been going it alone with my own company, Pet Sitters Reading, and continue to sit many cats and small animals on a regular basis.

Making sure your pet, and you, are the only important things to me when you need someone to look out for your animals. I always ensure your pets are well fed and that everything around them is well-looked after. You can expect to hear from me too, as I send you pictures so you can say hello to your animals, who I know you’ll be missing.

How it works:

Before we start sitting your cat or small pet, we always make sure we meet you and your pet first. This is so we can understand more about their routine and the kind of care they need.

Most commonly owners ask us to feed, clean equipment and make sure the living environment is comfortable and hygienic.

However, we can, and do, support with other levels of care that may be needed while you’re away.

Our pet sitter care covers:

Feeding once or twice a day
Cleaning feeding equipment
Making sure living environment is comfortable and hygienic
Giving diabetic treatment and other medicines
Emptying and cleaning litter trays
Putting dustbins out and bringing them in
Watering gardens and flowers
